African culture needs to be illustrated meticulously.

The illustrations featured here are mainly from Xhosa and Zulu language books, for children aged from 12 – 15. 

Most of them appear in language textbooks. Life-skills including sexuality, hygiene, child abuse, bullying etc., also feature. But culture and tradition usually integrate seamlessly with a modern, westernised lifestyle.
